The Chair and the Maiden Gallery is devoted to promoting high end design by integrating product with complementary fine art. This event marries the design of Vincent Reardon, specifically the Shirtscape coatrack with the art of Craig Miller, who uses garments as a medium. The exhibit opens May 15th and runs for about a month.

Shirtscape coatrack placed as a finalist in Design Within Reach’s M+D+F competition. The finalist we’re display on April 30th at the D.W.R. Providence, RI studio. M + D+ F is an exhibition of innovative furniture by emerging designers. Organized by the DWR Providence Studio and juried by creative professionals in the design, architecture, art and fashion worlds, M+D+F provides an opportunity for peer, public and professional recognition for up-and-coming designers and firms. These jurors will select the top entries to be exhibited during an event at the Studio.

In February of 2008, Vincent Reardon exhibited our Shirtscape Coatrack at the Interior Design Show in Toronto, Canada. Our booth was located in the Studio North/Prototype section of the show. This area of IDS is dedicated towards showcasing North America’s emerging design talent. Every year, IDS employs a panel of judges within the design industry to shortlist a selection of upcoming designers’ work to be displayed in the Prototype/Studio North section. IDS was intriguing show compared to ICFF in NYC, we felt it put more attention on connecting with an audience that shares similar business goals rather than heavy focus on exposure and publicity. All in all, the show was fun and we feel it has helped with our objective of pushing more business across our northern border.

Vincent Reardon’s Cuppa Endtable is featured in the January 2008 issue of Blueprint Magazine. Blueprint is a home decor pereodical published by Martha Stewart Living. Here’s what they had to say;
“Don’t let those three little words no one longs to hear - some assembly required - send you running from Vincent Reardon’s sexy, sloping, build-it yourself side table. Its only only components - a sheet of plastic and some aluminum braces - fit in a mailing tube. Total construction time: about five minutes. Result: a modern, forward-thinking slide show for your favorite magazines.”

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair 2007 marked the launch of Vincent Reardon. At the show, which was held at the Jacob Javitz center in New York City, we exhibited our four debut products; a sofa, an end table, a coatrack, and a teapot.. With a great first response to our initial product offering and a handful of new friends and contacts, the showwas very successful and an all around good time.
